Comment |
The voter turnout gradually decreased in the Czech republic during the 1990s, but it stabilized at the end of millennium. However there are differences between each type of elections. The most voters participate on elections to the Chamber of Deputies and presidential elections (60 %). The voter turnout in municipal elections is settled down at 45 %. The lower interest of voters can be observed in the elections to regional councils. The lowest voter turnout is in elections to the European Parliament and in elections to the Senate.
Not included abroad - in 2002 not included abroad to the Jihomoravský kraj, in 2006 and 2010 to the Jihočeský kraj, in 2013 and 2017 to the Středočeský kraj and in 2021 to the Ústecký kraj.
A horizontal cross (x) in the table in place of the number means that the phenomenon did not occur (senate elections were not held in the territory of the electoral district in the given year, there are no regional elections in the territory of Prague). |
