Definition |
The average gross monthly salary represents the share of wages excluding other personnel costs per one employee of the registered number per month. Wages and salaries include basic wages and salaries, bonuses and allowances, remuneration, compensation of wages and salaries, remuneration for on-call duty and other components of wages and salaries that have been charged to employees during the period. Wage or salary compensation for the duration of temporary incapacity for work or quarantine paid by the employer is not included. These are gross wages, ie before deductions for public health insurance and social security premiums, advance payments of personal income tax and other statutory deductions or deductions agreed with the employee.
Median monthly salary is gross monthly salary of an employee in the middle of the salary distribution.
Monthly minimum salary before tax and other levies valid on 1 January of the given year. In countries that set an hourly or weekly minimum wage, the data are converted to a monthly minimum wage. In some countries, a minimum wage is not introduced. |
