Relevance/rationale of the indicator (resp. why the indicator was chosen to measure the target and how it is suitable for these purposes) |
At present, noise is one of the important indicators of environmental quality and factors influencing the health of the population. |
Target value of the indicator and its evaluation |
|
Definition |
Number of inhabitants exposed to the specified level of noise load according to indicators Ldvn and Ln, number of inhabitants exposed to noise that exceeds the limit values of these indicators.
Prepared for the situation in 2011 and 2016. Health risks for 2012 and 2017 are calculated according to the amendment to Annex III of the END Directive of 2020.
The limit values of noise indicators are set by Decree No. 315/2018 Coll., On noise mapping for individual categories of noise sources. Due to these criteria, the whole territory of the Czech Republic and all inhabitants do not enter into noise mapping, but only a certain part. Can be expressed relative to a proportion of the population exposed to the above-specified levels of noise pollution in the total number of people who in the territorial unit in noise mapping enter. |
Measuring unit |
Number and % of people exposed to noise in the area |
Indicator disaggregation |
By selected agglomerations and outside agglomerations
